NUST is an oldest university of Pakistan. NUST first campus was build in the capital of Pakistan Islamabad & now you can get education from other NUST campuses too in Rawalpindi, Risalpur & Karachi. NUST UnderGraduate Entry Test Detail

Candidate can appear in entry test more than 1 times. The best score will be considered for the admissions. It should be noted that in one series only 1 attempt is allowed for a particular discipline.

The Test is Conducted at 3 locations:

• Karachi
• Quetta
• Islamabad

Karachi & Quetta: Paper-based format conducted in April & July.

Islamabad: Test is conducted in computer-based format

• Consulting the textbooks is crucial
• Online registration does not require attachment of documents. It will be required for verification during selection and admission process for selected candidates.
• When applying for admissions, NIC, NICOP or Form B is mandatory.

Note : Candidate can appear in entry test more than 1 times. The best score will be considered for the admissions.

• NET 1 Registration Starts From November 2020 To December 2021
• NET 2 Registration Starts From February 2021 To March 2021
• NET 3 Registration Starts From May 2021 To June 2021

Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility Criteria for NET

• A minimum of 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and HSSC/equivalent exams is required.
• All admissions are governed by open merit.
• O and A level and other none-FSc stream candidates need to obtain equivalence certificates from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Pakistan.

 Engineering

• Candidates with HSSC/equivalent qualification with the combination of physics, Mathematics and computer studies or computer science can apply for software engineering, computer engineering and telecommunication engineering.
• HSSC (pre-engineering group) from any board of intermediate and secondary education or an equivalent qualification like Overseas High school certificate.
• HSSC from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or an equivalent qualification like Overseas High School Certificate etc.
•  DAE candidates can apply for admission in selected engineering programs on open merit.

BS Mathematics

• HSSC or equivalent qualification, such as an Overseas High School Certificate/ British General Certificate of Education.

Business Studies and Social Sciences

• For BBA, BS Economics, BS Mass Communication and BS Public Administration, HSSC or an equivalent qualification.

BS Physics

• HSSC or equivalent qualification, such as an Overseas High School Certificate/ British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)/ International Baccalaureate/ Advance Placement (with Physics and Mathematics) is required.

 Architecture and Industrial Design

• FA/FSc background can apply for NUST Entry test on the basis of HSSC part-1.
• O/A level background can apply.
• HSSC (Pre-Engineering OR Computer Science group/ Equivalent OR any combination with Physics and Mathematics) is required
• MBBS/BDS/Bioscience programs can apply
• Medical Fitness
• The medical certificate is needed at the time of joining the program.

How to Apply

Application Form for the second series of NUST Entry test (Series – 1,2 & 3) will be available at www.nust.edu.pk and https://ugadmissions.nust.edu.pk/ which can be submitted after providing valid email address. On submission of the completed form, the candidate will print fee invoice and deposit application processing fee as prescribed in the invoice in any online branch of Habib Bank Limited (HBL).

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 16 years of schooling or 4 year education after HSSC/F.Sc/FA/A-Level/12 Grade equivalent in the relevant field with minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0 or 55% marks.
• MS in Engineering/Computer Science/Natural Sciences/Applied Biosciences

EMBA

• Minimum of 4 years experience.
• Minimum 14 years of schooling with minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0 or 55% marks in terminal degree.
• Qualifying NAT-II/GAT (Gen) (as applicable) is mandatory with at least 50 score.

Social/Management Sciences

• For MBA/MS Logistics & Supply Chain Management & MS Career Counseling, minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 or 60% marks in terminal degree.

Eligibility Criteria

• 18 years of education in related discipline as given below with minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0, 3.75/5.0 (in the Semester System) or First Division (in the Annual System) in M.Phil/MS/Equivalent with research work.
• Percentage will be valid only if the CGPA is not mentioned in degree/transcript.
• GAT (Subject) Test for Direct PhD program by NTS (Score ³ 60%)  & If NTS (Subject) Test is not offered in particular subject then NUST local GRE Subject type test (Score ³ 70%).
